NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES 

NP Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and most popular Croatian national park. It represents a forested mountain in a series of 16 small and large crystal blue lakes. Lakes receive water from numerous rivers and streams, and they are connected by cascades and waterfalls. Travertine barriers, which occurred over a period of ten thousand years, one of the fundamental characteristics of the park. The special geographical location and specific climatic conditions have contributed to the emergence of many natural phenomena and rich biodiversity.
